A giant squid attacking bait is pulled up by a Japanese research team south of Tokyo, on Dec. 4, 2006. This was the first and only filming of the giant squid alive.
The carnivores can reach up to 60 feet in length and have eyes as large as a human head.
…It would be okay if these went extinct.  Those eyeballs, man.
